What sewing projects are you working on?

December

Wow, can't believe it is December already.

Have worked all day today on a craft bag. Kwik Sew K0182. It has been ages since I've made anything requiring a pattern and don't remember them being so vague in the instructions. The bag has pockets inside and out front, back and ends. One piece has a double layer of pockets and all the pockets had multiple rows of stitching. All the main pieces had to be interfaced with craft weight interfacing so everything is stiff and hard to stitch on. All I need to do now is stitch the bottoms into the bag and lining then put them together and add handles and a band around the top. Hopefully it will go together easily.

I've also made an apron with lace around the edges and across the pocket that is as wide as the apron itself. This apron isn't the one I wanted to make as again the pattern instructions left me scratching my head. Since I'm working under time constraints I didn't want to take too much time scratching. I'll check the instructions again after the holidays and they'll probably make sense to me then.

Hope all are healthy and happy and enjoying the holiday season.
