This year I felt like I was being called to reach out to church members in a meaningful way. Our church has not been having in person worship services so it is hard to keep in touch with members. It's been over a year since I have been at church and I was feeling disconnected. Right after New Year's, I felt a strong need to reach out to church members who have asked for prayers. So I started machine embroidering angels and crosses. I wrote some letters to go with them and started mailing the letters with an angel or cross enclosed to those who asked for prayers. The need has been almost overwhelming. You just never know when you might be called to do something and I feel like God called me to do this. This is a way for members to feel connected. Thru the pandemic we cannot offer them a tissue for tears, give them a hug, or even a smile. Yet, I can do this small gesture. I have sent out over 100 since the first of January. Here is a pic of some of the angels and crosses that I stitched over this past weekend. The angel is from embroidery online and the cross was in a set of crosses from embroidery library.
