Are we going to do a Stash Challenge?

New postby temom on Mon Sep 26, 2011 7:40 am

Are we going to do a Stash Challenge this year?
I know I have a ton of stash, and haven't done much sewing this year at all! I seem to have forgotten most of what I've learned.

I don't know if I can do much what with just going back to work after 3 months off but I sure need to try. Perhaps a stash challenge would help me.

I'd be willing to participate considering I have dog beds, bassinet sheets, etc. to make and I already have the fabric! :D

I'm always up for a stash challenge. And then I can go through and also do a stash purge as I have stuff that I will never sew, it's time to get cleaned out!

I would love to organize it but I just don't know if I have the time, or if the colder weather will bring on the depression that hit me so hard last year.

That would be fun, and probably help me get my butt in gear!

Gina, you should see your doctor about that. They can prescribe medication that you take only during the winter months that helps, or if you're already on medication they can adjust it. DD has bipolar disorder so I get her medication adjusted by the end of October. But we see lots of people in our office that only need medication during the winter months. In any case, it's not worth suffering through without it.

A stash challenge is an excellent idea. I'm afraid I won't be able to help out much with it (or participate). What I would recommend is setting up a google document or some other way for everyone to keep track of their own yardage.

BTW, I don't think we ever announced the winner from last year's challenge? They should get a badge in their profile. :) Gina, can you check that out?
