EmaCon - I'm sorry you feel that way. I really wish it were possible to make the site customizable to each person's preferences, but since DH and I both work full time and do this on a volunteer basis, that's just not possible (especially since there are over 400 users). There are some cues built in to help you navigate the site -- for example, each post in a thread alternates background colors (light purple to a slightly darker light purple), so if you get used to that you can easily tell where one post ends and the next begins. If you haven't been visiting regularly, you might find you get used to the way things look over time.

Ok, Bob just found out that you can change your preferences so you don't see smilies or signatures. Here's a link to the personal settings page: Edit Display Options. I also made a sticky post about this so others can find the information if they want it. Hope this helps!
