Joann's fabric store

Went into Joann's fabric today as I had a 20% off total (regular and sale items) and wanted to see if they had anything I would be interested in. Baby yarn was 25% off so I bought 2 skeins for summer weight afghans. While there I noticed more employees than I've ever seen before at one time and every one greeted customers as they walked by them. Most were out cleaning the racks, rearranging, stocking etc. I must say the store looked a whole lot nicer than the last time I was there so maybe they have seen the light with Hancock's closing maybe they want to get those customers. They still don't have the selection that Hancock's had so I'm not planning on visiting very often, at least not yet.
Spent the afternoon cutting out baby blankets ,bibs and burps so I can sew during the week while Abby naps-I hope.

This weekend, I managed to shorten by 3-1/2 inches 7 pairs of pants and hem them. It was easy to do on my Olive Rose (Ovation) serger. It took more time changing out the thread colors than it did adding the new hem. I think that they turned out great. Finishing the waistbands on my pants today and I have my hand quilting lesson this afternoon. Two more projects for others and then I can concentrate on sewing for me and organizing my sewing supplies. Need to get them out of my daughter's room before June 1st when she will be moving into our home once again.
