What a lovely outfit! Those do look like squirrelly fabrics, but the end result is definitely worth it! What kind of fabric is the skirt? Is the top pullover or does it have a zipper somewhere? Very well done.

Kaitlin, sorry I am a little slow--LOL! The top is a woven polyester. It has a large neck opening for the cowl top, so no zippers, hooks/eyes. Just pull it on. The skirt is also some kind of woven polyester with an elastic waist.

Well, this was the wedding weekend, and sad to say I did not get any pictures! Both the rehearsal dinner and wedding were jam packed and just could not even get enough room to take snapshots. Oh well...Everyone who knew I had made the outfits really complimented me on them. I may have already said this somewhere, but I realized recently that these are probably the first outfits/dress I have made myself in almost 40 years! Still have a lot to learn, but with each garment I try to improve upon the next one. One of the interesting things I am learning, by making mistakes of course (!), is about fabric, which to avoid, and which needs special attention, and which sews up like a charm.
