What are you knitting/crocheting right now?

I know we have several knitters/crocheters on the board and I'm curious to know what you are all busy with. Laura seems to be making a slouch hat but I'm not sure about the rest of you. I'm moving right along on my felted wool bag. I'm really enjoying it and hoping that it comes out well once it's felted. I'm guessing I'll be finishing up next week sometime.

Armageddon Hoodie by Ninjaknit on Ravelry. A classic hoodie to hunt zombies in.

It's for the son out law, ( no 2 daughter's BF) who is 6ft4" with a 46 inch chest. I won't be knitting anything else for quite a while. Have got the front, back and 1 sleeve done but there may yet be some re-knitting as the pattern asks you to make the front and back different lengths to the armpit..

I've knit and completed 3 baby afghans and a hooded baby sweater and have started a third afghan. I found a quick pattern that uses just 1 skein of Red Hearts pound of Love. I read someplace not long ago that knitting uses 1/3 less yarn than crochet. I found that interesting. I feel like I can crochet and make progress so much faster than knitting though. Of the 2 my hands ache less with knitting.

Nice hoodie pattern Jan. Too bad I can't knit well enough for something like that. :anxious: I could make one for DD in celebration of the new season of The Walking Dead coming up. :D

Lennie, you asked for it. ;) I must have ADD because I get bored easily working on the same thing all the time. I always have several projects going at once. This is most :anxious: of them right now as far as yarn projects. The main ones anyway. :anxious:

I am blown away, Lori!! I knew you were prolific but jeez! What do you do? Go to your pile of UFO's every evening, pick one and then crochet away all evening???

Holy smokes woman!! That's amazing!! Do you take time out to eat, cook, sleep??

Jan, love the hoodie! I wish I had the gumption to get through making something that big! I'm sure it will be well loved!

I have been working on another slouch hat for a co-worker, it's black yuck! I'm almost done it, then I will go back to my hat. I want to make a scarf to go with my hat, and I have yarn for DGD for a cropped crochet sweater, which will be a first for me, my other co-worker who crochets all the time is going to help, she says I will have no problem - ha, we will see.

I'm making my son-in-law a scarf. it is double knit with dragons. It is very large. I hope to have it finished by Xmas.
I'm also making a triangular scar/shawl (depends on how big it is when I run out of yarn ) It's pretty basic garter stitch from the top down. It's knit on size 2 needles with lace yarn in the colors of a sunset -- a wool/cashmere blend and will be for my sister-in-law.
When I get tired of knitting I'm slowly working on a large, colorful needlepoint pillow cover.
it sounds like a lot but they are all big projects and it is very slow going.

Laura, are you using a pattern for the slouch hat? DD has asked me to make her a tam hat.

Dorothy, I hope you will post pictures. Especially of the dragon scarf. :)
I can whip out some easy, mindless crochet and knitting, but when it comes to following patterns I am soooooo slow. Which explains why my Seraphina shawl is so far from finished.

Lori, this is the pattern I downloaded http://throughtheloops.typepad.com/through_the_loops/2008/01/beret-recipe.html. I like how it turned out for a slouch/tam style hat. But I have to rip mine back, I went larger than the 8 1/2 inches and it's too big across the back for my liking.
