Smocked dresses for my wee lassies.

I am so enjoying having granddaughters ;) I sew for our grandsons but can't get away with smocking their outfits. I am using the Grace Knotts patterns and her famous 'Knott's Dots' to form the pleats. Sadly the company she founded is easing out of business in Toronto. I put in an order this week for her pattern book, several dress patterns and some gorgeous pima cotton and several sheets of iron on dots. Grace taught Canada to smock for several decades. I smocked many outfits for our daughter and family many moons ago so am having to practice a bit before cutting into the new fabric. Take care.
