A Rough Year

New postby MartySews2 on Sat Jul 18, 2020 10:20 am

Since I was in the hospital last July, I have had 6 more hospitalizations, 5 surgical procedures (3 heart related), went thru my father's death last Aug and my mom's death this past April. Was not able to be with either one of them the last 10+ years of their lives. Our contact was via email, phone calls, Facebook and text messages. I was notified of my dad's death by text from his phone and by voicemail of my mom's death. None of my siblings live within 500 miles of me and they thought that this was the best way to let me know. My last hospitalization was in Feb when I contracted double pneumonia. Fortunately, I have not contracted the virus even though I have had some indirect exposure. Twice, I have had to be tested and am blessed to say the results were negative each time. I have been home confined since my last hospitalization and only leave home to go to doctor appts. This gives me plenty of time to sew. Therefore, I became a mask maker. In June, I had cataract surgery on my right eye and will return to my doctor next week to have the removal of the cataract on my left eye scheduled. Health wise, at this time I am stable. For that, I am thankful. Hope all are doing well.
