Today was a rough day as my cousin's daughter, LeAnn, died this morning on her 36th birthday. It was pneumonia that killed her. She leaves her hubby and 2 little girls under the age of 5, her parents, a sister and brother plus other extended family members. It came as a total shock to me as we had been exchanging messages up to last week about Halloween costumes for her girls. Then she went into ICU at the hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. This was her 2nd bout with pneumonia in less than 4 months. My heart is breaking for my cousin who just lost her only brother in July and now her daughter. I cannot imagine that kind of pain. Please pray for them.
Then this evening, I got some really good news which was the bright spot in an otherwise sad day. My nephew, Trip Stewart, wrote that he passed the Virginia State Bar exam. He is now officially a lawyer and lives in Washington, DC. Back in April, he proposed to his longtime girlfriend and a wedding is planned for next August in Kennebunkport, ME. I am so proud of him. He is 4 months younger than my daughter and I was privileged to get to hold him from Day 1. I must admit that he is my favorite nephew out of the 4 that I have. I got to spend some special one on one time with him back in May. Today is also his mother's birthday. She is my youngest sister. What a great birthday gift for her.
