HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2015

New postby MartySews2 on Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:31 am

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! May your turkey be plump, your potatoes be creamy, and your gravy without a lump ... Most of all celebrate the love you share with your family on Thanksgiving Day. As we give thanks for all of our blessings, let us remember those less fortunate around the world who live in violence, fear, and dread. May God heal our world and give a sense of peace to all.
Marty ;)

Because of my extreme dental work, I have only had very soft food since Nov. 10th, when they extracted the 7 teeth I had left. So, you must take my work that the 3 egg cheese omelet I had for thanksgiving yesterday was the very best Thanksgiving meal in years to me. ! ! I really mean it. I have only had yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, ice cream to eat . DS made the omelet and I very carefully tried it. It was sooooo good. There is still a very sore spot on my lower gum that does not allow me to wear the bottom denture for more than 3 or 4 minutes at a time. I can tell it is getting better , but is slow to heal in that one spot. I thin finally all the stitches have finiseddissolving and now I can tell it is better than yesterday. We are going to have our turkey meal later. We are both looking forward to that. We are thankful for all our blessings, neverthless.

Libby, I bet that omelet did taste good after what you've been eating. Sorry to hear you had to have such extreme dental work done. Do pray it all heals soon for you. Have you ever tried glycerna (or its generic form)? Tastes good and doesn't mess with your blood sugars and has the calories and nutrition needed.
