Award

New postby MartySews2 on Mon Apr 04, 2016 4:19 pm

My daughter, Sarah, is finishing her 3rd year at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC and will receive her Masters of Divinity degree in May. She received a note from one of her professors that she has been awarded The Order of St Luke Hoyt-Hickman award for Liturgy and Music. It's a very prestigious award.

I am sure that she worked hard tonget her degree and deserves the award.
It is great that she is being recognised.

We are very proud of her ... She has about one more year of school to become a Board Certified Chaplain but she can do that at home as an internship. Her ultimate goal is to work in a children's hospital. She can work as a chaplain but really wants to be board certified as it commands higher pay level and more benefits. She's put off other life plans to get her education.
