Simple Modern Quilt Tutorial

New postby susandf on Tue Dec 06, 2011 10:10 pm

My 20-something daughter was visiting and wanted (me) to sew new decor for her new apartment. Thinking it would be beneficial for her to actually do the sewing, I designed a No-Measure Modern Quilt that even those that declare "I Can't Sew a Straight Line" can sew perfectly!

The entire quilt top can be finished in a morning by even a novice needleartist!

She really enjoyed putting the colors together - and the sewing was so simple that she quickly felt she could master the project!

I like the color combination! I am really getting into the modern quilts. I just finished off two tops that are Christmas presents, they are sandwiched and ready for quilting this weekend.

They are in the Sewing/Quilt Challenge thread since I made them from stash! I'm still going to get going on the table topper you posted, but I'm taking a sewing break for a few days. Maybe between Christmas and New Years?
