wrap skirt????????

Do you suppose that a wrap skirt could be made without a pattern, for Chloe, 11 yrs old. I would like i=to make it with a bias strip to finish the top edge that extends to a tie at the side front. How much to overlap?? Do I make it gored or circular??

Hi, Sewingmom. First I misread your post. I thought you wanted to make a bias skirt. So I thought this picture of a pattern for one would help. Well, I'm posting it anyway because I still think it'll help. For a full bias skirt (at least adult size) you have to have 60" wide fabric. I don't know how big Chloe is but I know I haven't grown (except in width since I was 12). :D :D :D  :D :D :D

Chloe likes bright colores aand the top I just finished has a flourescent yellow in the print thought the top is mstly pink. There are also splashes of bright green and bright blue. If the yellow is not flourescent then it at least needs to be bright yellow or lemon yellow. I have looked through mystash and don't have an appropriate color.
