Sewing Gremlins

New postby MartySews2 on Wed Aug 13, 2014 9:59 pm

I do believe that the sewing gremlins are at work again ... 5 seam rippers have disappeared from my living room since Saturday afternoon. I have no clue as to where they are. The only one that I can find is my Gingher seam ripper (in its case) which needs a new blade as it is too dull to cut thread. Guess I'll have to use my embroidery scissors to take out the zipper from a purse to replace it. Grumble ... grumble ... :x

Those gremlins are the worse. They visit here on a regular basis even though I try to put things away as soon as I'm done using them. They love my 6 inch rulers. I have one for each of my machines plus the ironing board and it seems I can never find one anywhere when I need one.

Have they fallen down in your couch cushions? Or did your dog play with them?

I don't have cushions on my sofa, it's from 1895 and is wicker with a padded upholstered seat. I imagine that they are buried in my sewing bin somewhere or on my dining table buried under clutter. Max never bothers any of my sewing supplies or fabrics. When I'm sewing, he lays down next to my sewing cabinet and sleeps. If I drop a bobbin near him, a pin or a needle, he just gets up and moves to another room.
