Help with Elna Carina Interchangeable Disc.

I have an Elna Carina Electronic SU machine that uses interchangeable discs. I cannot get the disc to release in order to change it and also, the discs are not producing the specified stitches even though I have ensured all the settings are per Elna specs. Help anyone?

I dont have a Carina but I do have an elderly Elna.
Not sure what it is called but you will have a lever that you push across to increase you zigzag depths - make sure that is on zero. Put you stitch length on zero too Then push down on the bit that comes up the middle of the disc and it should pop out. It that fails there is a really good Yahoo group for vintage Elnas they will be able to help
