Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

New postby sewhappyrtr on Thu Nov 28, 2013 8:45 am

Happy Thanksgiving to all...
Going to nieces and nephews in a little bit.. around 10:00 Its always nice at their house.. his whole family comes over and most of my DH family goes too. My 2 sisters will just stay at their house I am guessing.. or go out to eat.. We haven't gone to the nieces and nephews in about 2 yrs so we decided to go this yr. Otherwise I would be cooking, this way we just take a dish or 2 and enjoy the company. DS has to work tonight and tomorrow.. so he won't go with us as their house is 45 min. away and we won't be back in time for him to get to work..
I will cook a turkey here on Sat. for us to enjoy..

We had our Thanksgiving Dinner around 3pm ... we wash dishes as we go so hubby will do whatever clean-up that needs to be done which is very little. It's just the two of us as there is no family to visit and our daughter could not get home. We had baked ham, cranberry sauce, corn pudding, green bean casserole and asparagus w/horseradish sauce. For dessert, hubby is making apple crunch which will be ready later this evening. I got up around 11am and called my mom who was having take out from Cracker Barrel for her lunch today. Other than that, I'm not doing anything productive today. Hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hope all those that celebrate Thanksgiving had a happy one. We just got home from DD#1. Enjoyed visiting with DD and the grands. Not use to having to look up to see them though. Good to be home again and hopefully back into a routine soon. I sure missed my own bed.
