Brockie, this one was 2nd honeymoon. Was really good. I have a lot of his earlier books from when I belonged to a book club. The Alex Cross ones. I have most all of them. Started GS on the Alex something. (fliers) He loved them. every once in a while he thanks me for instilling a love of reading in him. He will be 22 on March 1st. He tickles me about his books. His dad's GF borrowed one of his Harry Potter bllks to read and dog eared a page, so he made her buy him a new book and let her keep the old one. LOL. I taught him well about taking care of posessins, I guess.
Nowadays I get James Patterson books at the Library. they give me 2 free new book rental cards a year. That means I can read a brand new book of his, and either use the card or pay a 2.00 fee . To me that is better than being no 100 to get one of their free copies. My branch usually only has 2 or 3 freebies.

Snow started here in December and there seems to be no let up...Extremely cold winds ,frost , freezing rain, power outages and just freezing- freezing-freezing.

Oops, did it again. James Patterson has the Alex Cross series. I have a couple other authors that I enjoy that also have a psychologist first name Alex.
All my kids picked up my love of reading too and their kids from them. I was always reading to them when they were young and the house was full of books of all kinds. When the grandkids visited I read to them too. Can't wait to start reading to the soon to be born GD. I've already started a new collection of books for her.
I make frequent trips to a local used book store and trade in books I've read for ones I haven't. As long as I have credit a book only costs me $1 and I can take it back when I'm done and get another book.
I know what you are talking about being 100 on a waiting list. I waited nearly a year for a book one time. Another time it was over a year so my name got dropped from the waiting list. I did find out if you recommend a book you are put first on the list when it comes in. I have been making a few recommendations lately but none have been selected yet.
Looks like winter is returning next week according to the weatherman tonight. Rats.

I am fringing fleece scarvess tonight for our youth. they are visiting the shelters on saturday and will be sharing warm clothing with them, so I am doing the easiest one I can. No sewing , just cut straignt and fringe the ends and I am done. They are really popular , too.
