ISO baby quilt using 3 yards fabric

New postby esrun3 on Wed Jan 13, 2010 2:58 pm

I can't find my pattern (and I believe it came from a magazine) but I remember you buy 3 yards of fabric that go together, then you stack and cut in a certain way, mix them up some and you end up with 3 baby blanket tops to sew and quilt together. Had a main panel, the corners were a different fabric and the sides were yet a 3rd fabric.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about and has a copy would you please send it to me? I'm thinking Debby might have an idea-I really need to get more organized with how I store my patterns.

Thanks in advance

Glad you found the link to that pattern. I just came home from quilting at church and we made.....Super Sized Nine Patch quilts. Very quick and easy to put together. Have fun mixing and matching!

In addition to the link to the downloadable PDF for the pattern on the Quiltmaker magazine site, you can watch my 2005 video demonstration of it on HGTV.com Both links, for the PDF and Video tutorial can be found on my blog. I'm redesigning the blog and may move my link addresses but you'll be able to spot them.

Approximately 34½”x 40½”
This was intentional on my part so that you could get by with one yard of fabric (without piecing) for the back.

I've made what seems to be a bazillion of these for charity. They do make up rather quickly, and are easy enough for a non quilter like me. THANK YOU!

Thanks for reminding me of this pattern! :applause: I bookmarked it for future use. I remember seeing it on Simply Quilts.
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.
