Thanks to all for the nice warm welcome back. I haven't been back to the site in awhile, but do plan to do it daily now and catch up on all I missed. I think my back is about ready to let me sit at the sewing machine for a while. Finally the PT is over and Dr. said it can still take me up to 3 months to get my endurance back. So will take things easy and work back up to my normal routine.
I had back surgery in July after months of constant pain and having my legs go numb and cramp when I would try to stand and walk. Sitting and bending for any length of time was impossible too. Took PT with no success, 3 epidurals - nothing, all kinds of test and finally the MRI showed them the problem. Upon awaking from surgery I had absolutely no pain at all.
Dh and I have been taking some local drives soaking in the mountain scenery. The colors are not as bright as normal because of the drought. Many lakes are down and some areas almost dry. But still is sooo good to get out and about.
I do get him to stop at quilt shops along the way so I can go in, drool, and build up my stash (like it needs it.)
It is so nice to be back and hopefully a more active participant in this forum.
