Workshop apron like Daddy wears in his workshop

New postby icetbear on Sat Feb 25, 2012 8:36 pm

I am making DGS Caleb a denim apron to wear when he helps Daddy or plays with his toy workbench/power tools. I found some 'tool' appliques and am using stash :applause: Up next, crib quilt for new DGD in St.Louis. I have a wall hanging as well to complete for the nursery. Mom doesn't want 'pink' per se, so I will be using soft pastels, cream and browns. Baby will have my second name, Mom's second name of Marie ;) Our Waterloo family are having their second child about the same time but they don't find out the gender beforehand. Take care.

The apron went home to Waterloo on Saturday but I didn't get a picture. The tool appliques came in the mail today. They are very good quality and detailed. I ordered them online. I have a fabric book and a John Deere playmat for Caleb so will get those finished and send the whole works to Waterloo. It will be some time before our next visit. Take care.

NanaBear off to sew before dinner ;)

Pillowcases made with 'Canadian' theme fabric

New postby icetbear on Sat Mar 10, 2012 9:09 pm

I am having fun making pillowcases for our DGS's in St.Louis. They are kits from Quilter's Cupboard in Uxbridge, Ontario. The fabric feautures postcards from Canada. Each kit has different cuff and piping material. The printed instructions are not very helpful, so I used a MSQC tutorial ;) I will take a pic and hopefully post here. Hope you are enjoying a great weekend, take care.
