twisted neck thing

I don't know what these are called, mobius or something, but this yarn is a hand dyed, hand carded find at a local thrift store for a whole $1.50 for the skein!!! I googled it and found it is made in Wales. I was so excited when I found it, and was so hoping the person at the til wouldn't know what I had, cause the price was incredible. I had just enough to make this thing, and it will go great with my white winter coat (and no so great with my brand new pumpkin sweater I bought about 15 minutes ago.)

I would have been so thrilled finding that at a thrift store. That doesn't happen very often. Lucky you. Nice and cozy for winter.

Very nice. I made a mobius cowl but didn't bother twisting it on the needles. I did it the lazy way --knit it straight then twisted it and sewed it circular.
I never find good stuff in the second hand stores.

This was the lazy way too, knit it like a scarf then twist it before sewing it together. I wasn't sure how long I was going to be able to make it and would have hated to stop mid row! I think I may take some of the scarves I've knit before that are longer, and twist them and sew them together. I hate my neck being cold.
