Yep, it really does end tonight at midnight. :( I'm out of the running since UPS just drove by our house and I haven't received my camera battery. Oh well, I might have come in 4th or further back even if my 8.25 yds for gift bags counted and I got my 6 plus yds in and finished the rag quilt in time but I really don't know.

There will be a next time and in the meantime I DID diminish my stash by quite a bit which was the whole point, right!!!!????

Curious to see the ending stats! :applause:

OK, I'm getting tired. This is a flannel blanket, 1.25 yards of each print. I top stitched it with a serpentine stitch to give it a little more character. This fabric is left over from the days of making tons of baby blankets for charity. It has been cut out and ready to go for quite a while. I know that I made a blanket for one of the kids in the orphanage out of this print, and I think I made a few for the Baby Shower in a Bag project.

I think I need to get a snack and take a break. I still want to make a new pj shirt for me (long sleeve tee shirt type) and another apron for my friend. It may need to wait, since I am in no way going to get massive yardage in this stash challenge. But I did move some fabric, and that makes me a very happy girl! :D

Lennie, do you have an ipod? You can use the camera on it - it doesn't take the best photos but it works! Or how about a phone camera?

Hi Theresa, no ipod and my cell phone hasn't worked for the last more than a week here at home due to a big storm (I'm assuming). Let me check. Nope, no luck. But thanks for the suggestions.

Hi guys! Lennie just let me know that you guys haven't heard from Gina since the stash challenge ended - it looks like she may not have been on SWU since November. In the meantime, this is what we'll do--everyone who participated, please tally your own yardage and post the total by Saturday, January 22 (1 week). For the winner, Bob will create a "badge" to display below your avatar.

If you want to be considered for "Top garment yardage," post both your overall yardage and your garment yardage. On the off chance there is a dispute over a total someone else has posted, please add up their yardage yourself and post it as well.

To summarize:

1. Add up your yardage
2. Post it here by Saturday Jan. 22

My tally:

4.5 yards Garment
6.75 yards Other
----------------------
11.25 yards Total

Not much but if I count the 8.25 for all of the gift bags that I couldn't photograph I'd have 19.5 yds used. That makes me very, very happy. It's not whether you win or lose it's how much you reduce the stash, right??? :applause:  I'm happy.

I agree!
everything I have sewn in 2011 has come from stash.
I think with what I cut out today it is about 7 more yds gone from my stash.
