Yeah, just in time for winter! heehee Just kidding, Dorothy! I love the color. Is it a soft fabric? Flowey? Good job.

Laura, love the tree skirt. Just what I'd pick out were I buying one. Do you do Redwork too? Love the look but I always love red for some reason.

Hoping to make lots of gift bags this weekend from holiday fabrics. How do you guys tie them to keep "Nosy Nellies" out of them? Not an issue here but aren't they easy for the kids to get into to peek?

Lennie,
It's a nice medium weight cotton with Lycra.

It's so pretty Dorothy! I really like the color.

I finished off 2 more baby quilts that the tops were done, they just needed quilting and binding.
The white/purple/yellow one is for DD's GF who had a baby girl on Dec 10. I had done the ice cream quilt for her, as it was a generic quilt, but once I knew it was a girl, I just needed to finish this one for her. Judy, I tried the flower free motion design and once I got the hang of it I love it! I tried to do snails on this as well, they are kind of snaily looking, more like swirls with bumps on one side. Oh well. The other quilt is just in case I need it.

I made this from excess fabric from two baby quilts. The first was for my DGS, made two years ago. The second was made in September for a co-worker's DGS. The half-square triangles were already assembled I just had to figure out an arrangement that would work. A friend at our church quilt group helped arrange the center, DH helped with arrangement of the borders. I'm was very pleased with this quilt until I posted the picture on my computer and realized there is a mistake in the border. Oh well, the people getting it won't notice it and too bad if they do.

I think this is the earliest I've ever finished a Christmas gift quilt!

:D Snow day tomorrow! :D
Maybe I can get some sewing done.
If the roads clear I need to go to the grocery store & Jo Anns (I was short flannel for 2 pair of PJ pants)
my daughters, grandkids, sister& maybe a nephew are coming over tomorrow night to paint cookies so I have some house straightening & decorating to finish first then if I get that all done I can sew for a while.

Your quilt is amazing! Wow! I'm impressed with the design, it's great. You should be very proud of your accomplishment.

Thank you! This is why I love quilting...I took scraps that were already cut and made something beautiful from what would have been waste. And I love the feeling of creating something from not much of anything. I know the recipients (well the female) will love it too.
