Jan I usually use some seasonal fabric I get from Wal Mart's $2.00 table.
If I get 60" wide fabric I get 2 1/4 yds. If it is 45" width it needs to be seamed or bordered.
I got the idea last Christmas when I was decorating my house for the holiday's & the bathroom just didn't look right. It is in the middle of the downstairs & had a yellow & blue flowered curtain. I had some 60" wide sheer with poinsettas all over it. I serged 3 sides then hemmed the top & added 12 buttonholes for the hooks. I use liners from the $1 store.

Then after Christmas I wasn't ready to put the flowers back so I made a snowflake one.
http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n159 ... 001161.jpg I also have one for Easter. It is really a pretty simple/cheap way to change the look. I also have been making kitchen curtains for different seasons I have Christmas, Valentines, Easter, summer flowers & fall leaves, It also gets me to wash windows more often because I won't put them up with dirty windows. If I get a chance I will take a picture of the fall one.
