I'm going to try and keep up with this one and get some stuff done this time around.

Jan I usually use some seasonal fabric I get from Wal Mart's $2.00 table.
If I get 60" wide fabric I get 2 1/4 yds. If it is 45" width it needs to be seamed or bordered.
I got the idea last Christmas when I was decorating my house for the holiday's & the bathroom just didn't look right. It is in the middle of the downstairs & had a yellow & blue flowered curtain. I had some 60" wide sheer with poinsettas all over it. I serged 3 sides then hemmed the top & added 12 buttonholes for the hooks. I use liners from the $1 store.

Then after Christmas I wasn't ready to put the flowers back so I made a snowflake one. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n159 ... 001161.jpg
I also have one for Easter. It is really a pretty simple/cheap way to change the look. I also have been making kitchen curtains for different seasons I have Christmas, Valentines, Easter, summer flowers & fall leaves, It also gets me to wash windows more often because I won't put them up with dirty windows. If I get a chance I will take a picture of the fall one.

A few years ago in New York City I found a wonderful moleskin fabric with turquoise blue and green water colory stripes on it. It was so wide (and so cheap that I bought several yards) that it made a shower curtain without even sewing it together down the center. I sewed cotton fish, sea shells and mermaids all over it.
I use cheap plastic liners.

Just this year I made this



bat mat to match.

You could use just about any fabric for a shower curtain -- even pieced like a quilt top if you are into that kind of thing.

I was thinking about making some Christmas ones to sell if DD & I do a craft show next month. Do you think they would sell? How much should I sell them for?
I am going to go sew for an hour or so & see if I can get a yardage amount on board.

Didn't get anything done yet. I had to make dinner before DS went bowling, then DD brought DGDDS over so they could go out to dinner for a friends Bday. I will try again tomorrow. Maybe if I start something simple & get a yardage posted it will get me motivated to go on.
