Here is the shirt I made for my niece. http://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n159 ... 002225.jpg
The picture really doesn't show it well. It is a baby blue & white pin stripe I don't know where those bolder lines are coming from. It is the same pattern I made for DD last month.
I hope it fits! she tried on DD's last time they were here & it was a little tight so I added some on all the seams. They will be back up for Thanksgiving so I can give it to her then.

Here's a skirt I just copied from a favorite of dd's. It's a low slung, simple a-line with a side zipper. Got lucky. Happened to have the exact shade of brown for the zipper. I pick them up whenever they're in a clearance cart if they're not too strange a color. This shade is called "London Tan". Poor girl. I've had the fabric and her original since summer began and now she has to wait till at least May to wear it.

Jan, this is the longest my hair has been in 30 years. I like it for a change.

Everyone has been sewing sewing sewing. Great work! Alley (?spelling) is adorable and looks like she likes the dress. I replaced a zipper in DGS jeans on Sunday. Mostly got to clean up the sewing room and computer move mess before I can sew again. Must get a picture of my sloper so I can post the yardage. I

I worked on 3 more casserole covers last night but only 1 counts for thos challenge because the other 2 I bought the fabric at JoAnn's my last trip. I also cut out some scrub tops for my DGDS' for Christmas. They want dress up clothes so I got this costume pattern http://www.simplicity.com/p-1961-costumes.aspx I cut it out of some MY Little Pony fabric that was in my stash. After I finish craft show sewing I also need to make them "Cinderella" & "Belle" dresses I am going yo use this pattern for both & just make one yellow for Belle http://www.simplicity.com/p-1522-costumes.aspx & DD(18) wants me to do the pirate one since they love to go Questing.

2.5 yards

Finally!!
I don't know what took me so long to get this made.
I've had the fabric for a very long time. Maybe 10 years. It is a nice medium weight crepe, probably poly. I think I got it off a Joannes discount/sale table. But it was a long time ago. I really like it and have always wanted to do something with it but never got around to it. I must have almost started something because it was prewashed and ready to go.
The pattern is one I have used, let' see, maybe half a dozen times or more.

Need a ruling please

New postby material_pakrat on Wed Nov 18, 2009 4:16 pm

I have just made a doll all from stash in a mad rush for a little girl in crisis care who had nothing but the clothes on her back. But I forgot to take a pic to go with my yardage. I do have one here that is similar, so can I use the pic for that? I would only be claiming a 1/2 yard, as most of it came out of the scrap bin, and not whole pieces of cloth.
If not, it doesn't really matter. I feel pretty good right now that I will have brought a smile to a little girl's face.
