It sounds like great fun - I wish I could join in but I've got too much going on and know I wouldn't even come close to being competitive. I will watch with great enjoyment though.
How long does fabric have to be sitting around to be considered stash? Is something I bought a month ago for a particular item but haven't started yet -- and won't until probably November -- stash. If I buy the fabric for my pot holders before Oct. and make the potholders in November stash?
Are you getting a pattern here. I'm at least a month and a half behind!
Pauline only a few will seriously challenge to the end. The rest just do their best. Join us please . Really it is a great motivator to get those things done that need to be done.
I am a strong believer in scouts honor. If you honestly in your heart believe that it is stash or a UFO then by all means it counts. Let's face it, if it is sitting around in your house prior to the contest and you use it during the contest then you are decreasing the amount of your personal stash. Enough said.

UFOs? You mean I might have to count them?? OK, sounds like a plan. Now do the batiks that I ordered over the weekend count as "stash"?? I mean, it will be sitting here before October ~ I hope. How do you count the bits n pieces for those using up scraps, gads, how do those bins get so large.
I have no expectation of winning or even placing but just for fun I'll count my yardage. I couldn't keep up with most of you. Everything I make comes out of stash so I'll just list everything I make from the beginning date to the ending. Except I have to buy some fabric for pot holders so I won't count that. What are the beginning and ending dates again?
I have alot of UFO to finish before xmas so count me in for the fun. I don't expect to win or even place in the challange, but it will get me motivated to get these projects finished.
