I haven't followed the election too much, but I must admit that she is a very lovely looking woman, and seems to have a great sense of style, but I did not like the red/black dress at all! They look like a lovely couple, for sure!

I think she looks classy, but approachable. I like the line about them thinking Michelle would be the one to run for president!!!!!

I also like Laura Bush's style, although it is much more subdued and traditional. She still looks like she could be the teacher and librarian she was before she became first lady. Personally, I'm thankful she stayed with that look instead of going with the Texas Big look (think Jessica Simpson!)

Agreed about the kids. Leave them out of it. They didn't choose the position they are in and I think most of them have done a pretty good job of staying sane in spite of the circumstances.

I think that she has a great sense of style and that she will do just fine even if she doesn't have a stylist, thing is...I bet that she has a heck of a time to find dresses that will fit since she's 5'11, a tall drink of water ;)

My younger sister who lives in Ocala, FL has a hard time finding clothing as she is 5'11" and her DH is 6'6". Fortunately, she wears a lot of sleeveless stuff and shops Lands End for things with long sleeves for winter (all of 3 weeks I guess). Said she has to order most things online as the pickings are slim. The only sewing that sis does is crafts for charity projects now that her children are young adults. I looked more closely at Michelle Obama's red & black dress and realized it looks like a black wrap over the red dress that dropped off of her shoulders a little in the photo. Maybe, I'm mistaken but that's how I view the photo.
