swimwear fabric and wooly nylon

I know I should use wooly nylon to serge my seams on swimwear fabric, but my question is, do I just use it in the loopers, or in all 4 threads???

Wooly nylon does not work in my needles on my serger, only in the loopers..

Most people I know only use it in the loopers. Have fun with your swimsuit.

It turned out pretty good for a first try. Next time I won't zigzag the elastic for finishing, but will do the twin needle finish. I have more fabric for 2 more swimsuits, so this first try will be good for the backyard hot tub.

OOH! Post pictures. I want to see.

I want to make a swimsuit myself. Any pointers from your experience? I don't have a serger, but I do have stiches on my machine that are supposed to work with elastic-type items. (it seemed to work OK on the undies I made)

Did I need special thread? I just picked up regular matching polyester.

Fabric_addict, I did not use may serger for most of the swimsuit seams I made last year. I used the multi stitch zigzag for it mostly especially around the neck and legs and armscye. It was fun to sew.

Laura, I didn't use wooly nylon at all I don't think. I would love to see a picture of yours.
