Belinda, wish that there was something that I could do to help you. What is the accountant doing that you hired to represent Ronnie at the IRS? She should be the one gathering the paperwork and putting it in order ... NOT you. Do you have a local Elder Care attorney that can help you in filing the paperwork with the courts? If not, have you contacted Legal Aid in your county for assistance? Even though you and your son are trying to provide care for Ronnie, you have to relinquish the reins and let others help you even if you have to hire someone. If you don't, you're going to have a total nervous breakdown and won't be able to help anyone. I'll try to call you over the weekend. Know that you are in my prayers and daily thoughts. Remember, we are only promised today ... you do not need to fret about the "what ifs". Just do the best you can with what you have. It is possible that Ronnie is in the early stages of dementia especially since he has not got his diabetes under control. It does affect brain cognitive function and memory. That also goes along with a stroke. Is there a mobile therapist who can come to the house to give Ronnie his PT to save you all of that driving. You can do this because I believe that you are a strong woman who is not going to let life challenges defeat you. I'm tied up with family responsibilities until Monday of next week but I will try to call you on Sunday afternoon.
