Thanks everyone for your well wishes for my dad. He went to my DD's wedding on the 28th and stayed for most of the reception. The weather was overcast and not too warm. A great day for picture taking as the wedding was in the park (sorry but I don't have the software to have pix here) My granddaughter (12 months) was cute as ever for her auntie's wedding. We have had between 6 and 11 overnight at the cottage for the past week ~ good thing 2 of them are infants and there are 4 bedrooms. Yesterday 10 of us went to Maine to play in the ocean. They have all gone home now and I am doing laundry. Thursday my dad turns 90!

Piney, I am so glad your dad was able to go to the wedding. I pray his birthday is a real celebration and brings him joy.

DH and I along with my cousin and his wife took my dad to a nice country inn for dinner then went back to his house for dessert. He was pleased and I went up to see him today. My cousin and his wife leave tomorrow so things will be back to normal and he is looking forward to playing Bridge with his buddies.

Now to find my way back to the sewing room!!

Today is my DD's wedding day! After this weekend, I hope to get back into the sewing room as I have a quilt on the frame that is a hand quilting project and another one to do on the machine with my new walking foot. I need to have that one finished by the time I go back to school as it's for a co-worker who is getting married tomorrow. We had five weddings in our school family this summer - one co-worker; 3 co-workers DDs; 1 co-workers DS. Three of them are this weekend!

OK, this mother of the bride is off the computer and ready to begin the most exciting day of my DD's life so far!

As one MOB to another, bring lots of tissues and enjoy the moments. My DD was married a week ago and I still tear up seeing some of the photos on FB. Praying for a lifetime of happiness for them.
