Judy, I'm guessing a flimsy is a quilt top?

Can't wait to see these projects.

Yep, you won the prize!!!

BTW...ran into a snag when quilting on Sunday pm so didn't get the flimsy done and I was away all day yesterday. So I'm still working on it. :(

That's the first time ever I've heard of a flimsy! I'd say it must be an Eastern Canadian thing, but if Lennie knew what it was, then I'm totally at a loss, cause she's not even a quilter (or at least she won't admit it!!!! :? :D , blowing big kisses down that way Lennie!!)

Nope, cause I learned about it reading blogs and other boards from US quilters....so maybe an Eastern Seaboard thing... ;) So I guess I just had to throw that term out there...like learning a new word and you want to add it to your vocabulary so you try to use it 10 times. And at last month's guild Show & Tell, a fellow member actually used it too when showing her flimsy...

Sillies! A flimsy is a provocative negligee!

Laura, I know nothing about it being a quilting term. :D (Not being a quilter, you know.)

Finally, here's a pic of my flimsy. I finished sewing on the top & bottom borders this morning, took pics and was almost ready to post when I realized by looking at the pic that my bottom corner blocks were facing in the wrong direction. :( So had to rip out & resew! Thank goodness I noticed before I went any further...

Again, a really really cute quilt top!! I never see cute fabric like that!

Got my 1/2 m of fabric that my co-worker went to get, came home and cut out the binding strips. Had to go to quilting class so tomorrow after supper I will sew the strips together and sew on the binding, then start handsewing it down. I think I'll take it to work with me Friday and take it to MIL's to try and get it done Friday. It needs to be over at my friends by Sunday at 5. Am I feeling pressure?? :brick:

Judy, I love it! I've seen that bear before. I think you even sent me the pattern a while back. Good job! :applause:

I am absolutely sick. I finished off my quilt for the Challenge we were having with our guild and I put hours and hours into it. I was so proud of it. I threw it in to wash it, made sure I put in the Synthropol and color catcher and the dark red ran into the cream, it's on it's third wash and now I have poured in all sorts of extra cleaners and boosters cause if it doesn't come out it's totally ruined. It looks like crap! I'm so shocked I can't even sit and cry.
