What sewing projects are you working on?

Marty, I dislike replacing zippers. fly type or otherwise in ready to wear. It would have taken me that many tries to most likely.

I finally sat down at my machine today. I managed to finish up 12 bibs that have been half completed since November and I serged around 4 burp cloths that were cut out in October. Still coughing and wheezing and trying to get my strength back, this has been a heck of a winter health wise for me. Hope everyone else is healthy and busy sewing.

Sew True has the best prices on zippers ... I bought 15 9inch zippers for 48 cents each ... to replace pant zippers or to add a zipper. They are the YKK brand which is considered the best on the market and service was excellent. Good luck on your projects, Karen.

It's very hard to add elastic to the waist of a pair of pants if you don't have any elastic ... (mumble, mumble) ... Ordered 10 yds of 1-1/2 inch wide elastic from Fashion Sewing Suppy. At $1.65 a yard, it's a good buy. Just have to wait for it to arrive to finish these pants.

Progress on the clerical stole for my pastor ... All embroideries are done (a few hiccups) but it looks great. Got the first seams sewn. Just need to press, remove the water soluble stabilizer and sew the final seams. I'll post a pic when done.

The stole is finished and my pastor loved it. He tried it on last night and was so pleased. Here he is trying on the stole. He would have put his robe on but wife and children were home sick and he wanted to get home quickly after Bible Study last night.

I think for ITH projects a person needs invisible zippers, or maybe plastic ones. Does that site have those Marty?
