As far as the pj gifts, I had to hem 2 pair and let down the hem in 1 pair! I also made another pair in the next larger size for kiddo #1. He is a self described "Music Nerd", and I loved this fabric. However, when he was in kindergarten he informed me that "Purple is a girl color, Mom!" I wasn't too sure if he would like these since some of the notes are purple, but he assured me that it was ok, he could handle it, LOL. So I have another 2.5 yards, and if Barb would stop sewing, I might have a small chance of catching her in the stash challenge!

Barb, this is not how I want to catch up with you! Feel better soon, and get lots of fluids!

Meanwhile, I finally sewed a pair of pj pants for me. Excuse the crooked hip, I guess I wasn't standing straight, and boy do they clash with my shirt! The pattern calls for 2.5 yards, but it took nearly 3 yards, which was weird, since this is fleece and wider than the other fabrics. I'm too tired to figure it out, and I posted the 2.5 yards on the spread sheet.

You are, if I'm not mistaken, just shy of tossing the damned computer through the window, right? (from Lennie)
You got that right. I sat and screamed and fumed then shed a few tears. Then , a while later I laughed at myself. I will master this task sometime in the future, but I am not spoiling my good feelings of this Blessed time of year with frustration. I have too many blessings to worry about one little frustration.

I know it can get frustrating dealing with computers LIbby. My only hint is that the pictures may still be too large, they need to be pretty small and I have a little program I got for free that resizes all my pictures quite small. I will have to search and see if I can find it and send you the link. All you do is right click on your picture and in the dropdown list is a 'resize picture' link, it gives you 4 options to resize the picture and then they upload quite nicely. But that can be a project for next year!

On the 24th I sewed up some pants and a fleece hoodie for DGS, Since he is so little, they are really fast projects to do, used up 2.25 yards. The pants were actually made from a baby sling I made for DD when DGD was born that she never used, so I even recycled!

Just for fun, I took a look at our spreadsheet. (I haven't looked at it since I last posted an entry Oct. 26th!) I'm only 93 yards behind Laura, so maybe I could catch up if I spend every waking hour between now and Jan. 1 sewing non-stop! No, I still wouldn't have a prayer....

Laura, I love your camos and hoodie. Do you have a secret to getting a nice finish on the inside of the hood? It always gives me grief.
