Where to find toy squeakers and noise makers

New postby Pudge99 on Fri Apr 04, 2008 2:48 pm

OK so I am really getting into this webstore thing.
I am wondering if anybody has suggestions for where to buy the squeakers and noise makers that go inside toys. I googled and found tons of places online but I would really like to be able to walk in and give the product a squeak. So what kind of store might have these things?

The squeakers...good question. I just made a plush baby toy ducky and I stuck in a few jingle bells before I sewed it up. But the squeaker... Pathetic that all that comes to mind it opening up doggy toys and stealing the squeakers! There must be a wholesaler out there, but I'd be surprised if you'd find anything in a craft store locally.

My doggy kills all her squeakers so I can't steal them from her.

I know I've seen them somewhere. :anxious: It had to be Hancock's, Michael's, Walmart, or Hobby Lobby. Those are the only stores I've been to that could have had them. I've seen the musical things that go inside toys too. I just can't remember exactly which store I saw them in. I just know that I saw them somewhere.
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.

Gina, Check out all the craft supply stores, like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, A C Moore, etc.. If no luck then maybe check into the wholesalers who specialize in floral supplies. The big one here used to specialize in stocking all kinds of craft supplies especially around certain holidays..They may do it still, I just haven't had to resort to them lately for any of my needs.

Gina, If you find some please share the link with me. My poodle loves toys with squeekers and I would love to make them. His favorite is a little lamb that is 6 inches long and about 5 inches tall. he carries it with him every where. I bet they would sell well on your web site.

I made Lucy (the Jack Russell Terror) a stuffed toy that is bigger than she is. I put a squeaker in one end and a honker in the other. It is so funny when she shakes it you can't tell if she is shaking it or it is shaking her.
