Beautiful work. Did you invent it all or have a pattern??

I love it. The colors are fantastic with that background. did you use a satin stitch to applique? That would be a lot of work.

No...just did free-motion twice around the edges of each item.
This is for my cousin who gave me the pattern for Xmas last year. It contains a tote bag, purse and table runner. So I thought it only fitting that I make the table runner as her present this year. Of course I'm giving it with a bottle of wine to both her and her husband...he can enjoy the wine with her...LOL

The pattern is the Clematis purse and table runner on this link. They don't show the purse but the flap is made with the same shape as the end of the table runner. I know she commented on how nice the purse was when she gave it to me...but maybe she'll get that one next year...LOL.

Oops...the link doesn't take you to the pattern. You have to click on the sidebar Floral / Raw-edge Patterns. Then you'll see the Clematis pattern on that page.

Well the background was my second choice...cause the leaves and spider plants (that's what the orange things are called) didn't stand out on the originally purchased background. So it became the backing.
This was supposed to be the background...cause her table cloth is the colour of the clematis and binding.
