Sage's wall hanging

New postby bridesmom on Fri Oct 10, 2008 5:38 pm

This is for Christmas for my 1yr old GS. I have enough of the fabrics left to make a quilt for him for his birthday next year. I used flannel for the clouds which was a mistake as it pulled out of the blanket stitch and I had to go back and sew around it afterwards with a straight stitch. I put the binding on backwards, so rather than rip it all off (NTB moment) I put ricrac on around the edge of the binding. And now that I look at the picture it looks like the hanging is crooked, but it really isn't, just is the angle I took the picture at (I hope)

That is fantastic! At 1 he may not fully appreciate it, but he will grow to love it when he is a little older.

That is so cute. I have a question for you -- have you been out of your sewing room at all in the last few weeks? You are really on a roll.

That is sooooooo cute! I love how you fixed your binding mishap by sewing rick rack on the edge! :applause: Much more fun than ripping it out, and it looks great! Maybe you shouldn't have said you had a NTB moment there, it really was a great design idea. :) Especially for a child's quilt.
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.

Gosh Laura....absolutely adorable! Agree with Dorothy...have you locked yourself in your sewing room only to come out to post pics??? ;)
