Asian Harmony

New postby Magot on Tue May 06, 2008 1:47 pm

After quite a time I have finally finished my "Asian Beauty" wallhanging and quilt and present you with them in all their glory - finally in the bedroom!

I pictured these in this setting before we bought this house, we have been here a year now and I am there!

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e81/J ... G_0655.jpg from the foot of the bed

The pattern on the bed was called Asian Harmony by Andover fabrics http://www.andoverfabrics.com/QuiltDesi ... armony.pdf

To be honest - I don't normally work to other peoples patterns so this was interesting. I needed it bigger as it was only intended as a wallhanging so have added borders randomly.

The wallhanging was also from Andover fabrics but they don't seem to have the pattern on their website any more.

I also made a couple of cushions(rectangular) for the head of the bed and snaffled the black and red square calligraphic ones from my daughters room.

Many thanks to my kind friends from SWN ( you know who you are) who will recognise some of the fabrics!

You had to be able to see beyond Sindy's wardrobe - that pink took FOREVER to get rid of..

Jan, you are an amazing woman! I am so impressed but what really intrigues me is what you and Tony do with the big bouncy ball in your bedroom.............it staggers the mind......... :eh:

Wonderful job, toots!

The movie wouldn't play on my computer but your quilt and wall hanging are stunning.

I haven't loaded quicktime on my computer...My computer has been very quirky lately so I haven't downloaded much.

You are right in not telling ..keep Lennie guessing :shh: ;)
