So cool! View New Posts works!

Just like on the old Sew What's New I just noticed today that "View New Posts" works now. I love it. Only the posts that are new since I last logged on are showing up. Makes it so much nicer, quicker and easier to check.

Hmm. DH hasn't made any changes lately. To be honest, I'm still not entirely sure how this feature works -- it seems to make a difference when you last logged in, so maybe that is the difference when you looked at it this time Lennie? Otherwise..I have no idea!

Edited to add: Ok, the definitive answer is that "View new posts" shows the new posts since you last logged in. So, if you have it set to log you in automatically, it never gets reset and shows a bunch of old posts toward the bottom of the list. If you get logged out at some point, the "new posts" get reset and would happen to be all unread. Hopefully that makes sense -- anyway, the feature has not changed. As before, if you want to look for new unread posts, you can just look from the top down for unread posts as they are sorted by date.

I'm always set to be instantly logged in but this morning I logged out and in to make sure I remembered my password.

Hmmmm, it might be worth it to log in each time to take advantage of that feature. I like it that way.

Now, I'm no techie by any means, but I've found that the new post button works best when I logout when I'm done & log back in when I return. When I would stay logged in, it never seemed to work right. And now if I forget to actually push the logout button the new posts that come up are from 2 or 3 visits ago & forward, from when I did remember to logout. Does this make sense?
