The eyeball of DOOOMMM

New postby Magot on Sat Sep 01, 2012 10:03 am

Whilst away over the bank holiday weekend, Tony accidentally clipped me in the eye with spectocular results. The entire eye went red , the picture below is after 1 week
Image

It looks stunning but actually doesn't hurt at all. It's just a burst capillary under the sclera - no damage to cornea or eyesight. I ought to be able to scare small children with ease! My brother suggested I wear a patch over the Good eye to freak people out. I kinda like that idea! I forget it is there untill I catch sight of myself in a mirror. Many people have stoically refused to comment on it and children ignore it completely - amazing. For a week I looked like Charles Dance in last Action Hero. The left side of my eye is yellow now but it could be a while for the red to totally go.

WOW Jan! It does LOOK painful even though you say it isn't. Our cat's eyes looked like that after his collision with a car (the cat who now has 3 legs because of that accident).
I'm glad it's not painful for you. I like the patch idea.
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.

Oh, Jan! Poor girl! So glad it doesn't hurt or didn't hurt your eye. Too bad it didn't happen closer to Halloween!

(Kevin had the same thing months ago and we kept making the same "good way to scare small children" comments. I took a few shots of his eye too. He's got blue eyes so it was VERY intense! --- and quite patriotic too!!) :D

I'm glad the eye is not as painful as it looks. It always amazes me how you can find humor in every situation.

Oh Jan, the adventures you have ... hope Tony will make sure that he waits on you for this mishap. Hopefully the eye will heal with no lasting effects. I'm glad that you're not having any pain with it. I have psoriasis in my right eye that is gruesome looking too. Maybe I should take to wearing a patch under my glasses when it flairs up 8-) or maybe not.

Wow. That is impressive. I have gotten subconjunctival hemorrhages a few times without any injury--maybe from sneezing? Who knows. Never as big as that, though!
