Lennie, I'm glad you came through it with flying colors. I have known for several years that cocaine is used for sinus surgery and for fractured nasal bone repair. Its not a new use for the drug. By the way. I wont take versed because it leaves me with cognitive difficulties for months after having been given it during procedures and surgery. The anesthesiologist told me that if you ever have that problem with it you will probably have it again and better to avoid it. He even told me that some older people never regain their cognitive ability after it.

I commented to DS about the cocaine and he said that Dentists use it a lot in dental surgeries. He was not surprised to hear of the ENT use as well. Sounds fine to me because it avoided the dreaded "packing"...

Well, after all of my bragging about feeling so good yesterday I feel just horrible today. I've been up about 25 minutes, took two Ibuprofen and I'm going back to bed now with tea and the newspaper, my book and magazines. My whole head hurts so badly. My head feels huge. I keep wanting to sneeze and blow my nose hard. Oh man, I hurt. Bye for now.

Thanks for all your kind words.

Yep, yrs ago when I worked in the surgery area doing x-rays, in the brain surg. suite, they would use liquid cocaine (Actually, I was never really sure why they used it!!!) :D :D
If I remember correctly, it was a deep blue color..
