If she depends on Medicaid for health care, then they have a limit on how many days in the hospital. Even as tiny as he is, she should file for social security disability for him as it will give her more funds. Even if he does not make it, they will pay her retroactively. I used to file SSA disability for all children in foster care with special needs. That extra income might just help out & she may be eligible for more services if approved. Some medical conditions are instantly approved. The hospital social worker should be able to help with this.

And with his prognosis, why not let him be with mom and loved up as much as she can. Poor little thing, how hard for mom! He's probably way better off with her at home than in a hospital where he isn't getting the attention that he needs and deserves.

I feel so much pain for that precious girl and her child. It seems the older I get the more emotional I get anyway. I cannot think of anything I can do to help her besides praying for her and the baby, but I am doing that.And yes I agree they are probably better off at home than in the hospital.

We have been praying for them, all along and especially last Wednesday night at Circle Meeting, we had a discussion about them and said a very special prayer for them.His name is still on the prayer cloth at Church. My heart goes out to that young Mother right now.And of course all of her family.

Thank you Marty and Libby. DD went to visit them last week and got to hold him. I never got to because I haven't been able to shake this chest congestion completely and didn't want to chance passing on germs. His mom got to hold and love him at home for a month before he passed. I'm glad she got at least that much time with him.
On his FB page today they said to feel free to share his photo, so I thought y'all might like to see what this sweet baby looked like.

Thanks, Lori. I had looked at a couple of their photos on FB the other day, when I clicked on the process to post a notice on my site asking people to pray for him.
