I love working with knits. I'd rather set a sleeve in a knit than in a woven. There is rescue tape for the girl who can't keep the shoulders of the dress in place. Don't know how comfortable it is to have a piece of fabric taped to the body part but if I understand correctly that is how the movie industry keeps some of these garmdnts in place. Zippers in knits.....just interface the seamallowance where the zipper goes before sewing in the zipper. It will go in great and not stretch out or pucker. Don't be afraid of zipppers. Just practice on some scraps and sew in two or three by the instructions first and then you will be a pro.

I guess it's a "go" then, thank you all for advice and suggestions. I have a serger that I rarely use but it is out and set up right now for a rolled hem but it's easy to switch back over (I cut off the toe area of elastic stockings for a resident at work to make the foot smaller and they fit better).

I have to get the rest of the Easter baskets and quilts finished for the fundraiser before I start anything new. Haven't been in the sewing room all week due to working odd hours. Had to call in yesterday b/c of my back being in spasms, prob. from working too much as a CNA but at least I'm getting more hours. Been doing alot of car research/test driving too, hopefully I'll have a new to me car next week.

Going to stop at JoAnn's today so I'll see what they have in the way of fabric choices and give it a try.

Thanks again,

Kathy
