Electric fabric

Don't worry about power outages, just wear electric fabric!

I heard about a new fabric on a podcast:

It would be too cool to make clothes that generate electricity. :D

Clothing has always generated electricity(think about the snap,crackle when you remove a sweater). I guess it makes sense to try and use it.

Sounds great until you get caught in a thunderstorm. Can you imagine the charge that one would get out of that? Static electricity is bad enough but I think I'll stick with regular fabric for now. Just because it can be created doesn't mean it's a great idea.
