Where can I find?

New postby Sancin on Thu Jan 10, 2008 6:49 pm

Poppy fabric to make pillow cases for throw pillows for my bed. I am looking for white/ivory/cream background with single/double medium sized red poppies randomly placed over the background with some green leaves. The design is hard to find when doing online searches as there doesn't seem to be a category - most florals are too small or too close together. Any directions will be appreciated. I would use sheets if reasonably priced. I used to use sheets frequently for sewing but it is hard to find a single sheet and there is a lot of waste in fitted sheets which one gets a set. :|

Here's a pretty one, but it's a black background. I thought you might like to take a look anyway.

A poppy field:

CREAM BACKGROUND! and very pretty:

Scroll almost to the bottom to see "poppy stems"

you can find a few more at quiltshops.com, but they may not be exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks for the quick response, Bama. Those are not quite right but are pretty. I was hoping to find flowers further apart and solid colour. I should have realized by this time of my life that one shouldn't be too specific in one's wishes. I have seen what I want but have no idea when or where!! :brick:
