looking for a pattern

DD wants a dress like this for a wedding in November I've been looking on line at the patterns and am not having a ton of luck, lots with a slim tight top but not the blouson style this seems to be. Anyone else want to see what they come up with??

I seem to remember Smilie (?) telling us about a site that you could search rtw clothing and it would recommend the sewing patterns that would look the closest. I tried to find the site just now by Googling but no luck. I do know there is a site out there. Maybe you can find it, Laura.

Laura, there is a New Look pattern #6912, view C, that you could adapt to create this look for your daughter.

I found mccalls 6240 which is very close except for the skirt, this pic seems to have a wrap around skirt, but i thought if she really wants the skirt then i will make view c with a wider bank ie; skirt, and wrap it. Bought 2 m of a knit to try a mockup of the dress for her today once I hear back from her what she would prefer.

Try Wild Gingers new e-patterns. Perhaps they have a similar pattern.

Is that really a dress? It looks more like a top and skirt to me.

McCall's 6562 view D would be a pretty close match for the top. Just shorten the sleeve a few inches, and possibly add a bit of ruching at the side seams. You could probably use Vogue 8711 for the skirt -- just shorten a bit.

OK, I would use a dolman sleeve shift dress or top pattern and addapt for the one shoulder look and make a pencil skirt, Ruch the top.

I was wondering if it was a top and skirt too because of the wrap skirt. I think its going to be fun to work on, once i get some stuff off my table thats half done.

Guess the New Look pattern didn't catch your eye as it had the one shoulder top with a sleeve & a skirt that could be adapted to a wrap skirt.
