The $120 was at Darrel Thomas, I just saw it online, didn't actually get the nerve to go to the store but C&M was great!!

I work downtown, a couple of blocks from Darrell Thomas' store. I sometimes pop in on my lunch hour to pick up thread or just to browse. He has nice stuff...but is usually quite expensive. And being a quilter, usually not something I can use ;) .

Well the dress is almost done, just some handstitching left to go. ending up underlining the whole thing with organza as the fabric I chose wrinkled and marked like crazy ( not to mention water spots) but it looks good, will post pix once it is done, and I'm ahead of time the dance is sat!!
I think I was making my husband nervous. I loaned my red dress to someone else to wear to the event, so I didn't have a back up.
Had to cut a new front skirt panel (water spots from my iron, damn thing is a Rowenta and cost a fortune...)
but that's all taken care of now and it looks pretty good.

And I just asked about this dress on the thread about the Prom dress you made for your neighbor. Nice job, Jeanette. Once again, you are seamstress extraordinaire. :applause: :applause: :applause:

It looks pretty, but it's a teeny picture!! The green is a nice color on you!
