I made a set

The smaller bag is by Paradiso Designs modified by omitting the tie and carriers, added a little cell phone pocket inside.
I added an extra long zip on top, to open it extra wide, added magnetic closures to the upper sides to pinch them in when the extra capacity wasn't needed. I didn't appreciate how the instructions had no real interfacing, it called for MUSLIN! so I added some appropriate stuff when I got home. I started the project at the ASG conference in Houston in August 2012. It was a lot of fun! The first
time I used this bag I took it to the Rhinebeck yarn festival and carried around my finds that included bottle of wine! So it passed
my test for strength, and capacity.

The duffle is Simplicity 2274. The designer sells her duffles on her Etsy site StudioCherie for $180. I was unsure
about both pockets. I think there are only supposed to be one with zip on the end and one open between the straps.
I made mine with two each, and added a little open pocket inside the duffle for keyes or phone on the lining. I used
quilting batting for structure, so it is pretty soft. Fabric is from Joanns, zip from zipit on etsy, magnetic closures from 3dpatternpaper
on etsy: Absolutely no affiliation or kickback or anything just a satisfied customer. Have you seen the prices of magnetic closures
in the stores? its ridiculous!
I really enjoy my set, the fabrics are "happy" don't you think?
