I based the pattern on a purse from Kohl's and reused the findings.

Bonny lass, bonny lass, will you be mine?
You shall neither wash dishes nor serve the wine;
But sit on a cushion and sew a fine seam,
And feast upon strawberries, sugar, and cream.

Nice bag. I'm still trying to figure out how to line a bag. I have one started out of canvas with some lovely handles but can't figure out how to put in the lining. I'm not very crafty at all. I can line a jacket without thinking but lining a handbag is a challenge for me. Weird, huh :?

Awesome job!
Marty, usually you attach the lining along the top of the purse, and leave an opening in the bottom to hand sew up once it's flipped around.

Marty, Sew Stylish Summer 2011 has an article that shows how to make 2 different tote bags with linings. And the Fall 2010 had an article on how to make a designer bag.

Neefer, great job on that bag!

Marty, I like bags that have a facing at the top of inside. I attach the facing to top of the lining then sew the facing to the top and turn like Laura said.
