Actually, Theresa, there is nothing awesome about my socks. But at least the stripes on these match -- it's the yarn, you know.

Very nice Dorothy. :applause: Did you knit or crochet these?
I finally printed out a sock pattern to try. Now I just have to pick up some sock yarn.

Those are terrific, Dorothy, Sock Queen! Lori, socks are tricky to start but after you get going they're not too bad. Don't give up if it's too hard though. There are 1000's of patterns out there and some make it a lot harder than it needs to be.

Lennie, I did a search on Ravelry for easy socks and found several. I hope I can figure them out. :anxious: DD and I saw some clear clogs at a yarn store near where she attends college. I told her if I can ever master knitting socks, we're each getting a pair. If I make socks, I want them to show. ;)
here they are:

I have a couple of shawls about 3/4 finished that I have to complete before buying more yarn. These shawls are sold! More money for yarn. :anxious:

If I can do it. You can do it, Lori! You might want to try the self striping yarn. It's so much fun!! You just have to use the exact size needles and get the gauge right for it to work. It's amazing and really, really impresses others!! :D
